British MkII Dispatch Rider Helmet of Late WWII
Copied from the design of the paratrooper helmet, this Mark II dispatch rider’s helmet was worn by British motorcyclists (including Military Police) during World War II. The major difference from its airborne counterpart is the leather neck flap that extends over the dispatcher’s ears. This example is a size 7 and was manufactured by Briggs Motor Bodies (BMB) in 1945.
