German Enlisted Infantryman's Garrison Cap, 1935 Pattern

This German Feldmütze (garrison cap) belonged to an enlisted man in the infantry service of the Heer (Army) during the mid- to late-1930s through World War II (1939-1945).  The Heer modified the garrison cap slightly in 1935 to the form seen here.1  Attached to the front are machine-woven cloth versions of the Heer service eagle and the tricolor national cockade.2  A white Soutache (chevron piping) above the cockade indicates the wearer belonged to the infantry.3
