Belgian Experimental Adrian Helmet with Face Shield
This helmet is an experimental model manufactured and designed in Belgium during World War I (1914-1918). The helmet is modeled on the 1915 French Adrian, featuring a comb and rear neck guard. However this particular helmet was modified to make the shell deeper. A retractable face shield is attached to the front. Also included on this helmet is the lion head Belgian Royal Army insignia.
