French Kepi of Brigadier General Dufieux
This is a French kepi worn in 1892 by Brigadier General Dufieux of the French Army. The uniqueness of this kepi is seen in the elaborate leaf embroidery along the body and the Hungarian knot on top, both done in gold wire. On the interior are small initial plates reading “JD,” for Julien Dufieux. Included with the kepi is a picture of General Dufieux wearing a similar style kepi.
