This is a late Cold War era (1947-1991) beret worn by the Belgian Groupe Police Militaire (Military Police Group), or PM. It is made from green wool and features a military police insignia of “PM” within a flaming grenade in gold. The badge is backed by a red plastic shield. The interior has a diamond-shaped stamp with the manufacturer inscriptions, A.B.L. preta, the date of production, 1984, and the size, 57.
