This is a Italian Army Lieutenant General’s visor hat from World War II (1939-1945). It is made from gray wool with a black hardened leather visor. Featured on the front is a general officer ranks eagle insignia embroidered in silver wire on a red backing. The silver embroidery around the hatband identifies the lieutenant general rank.
